Unit 1 Verb to be

Verb to Be เป็นหนึ่งในกริยาที่มีการผันรูปมากที่สุดและใช้บ่อยที่สุดในภาษาอังกฤษ มีความหมายหลักๆ ว่า "เป็น," "อยู่," หรือ "คือ" และมีบทบาทเป็นทั้ง กริยาหลัก (Main Verb) และ กริยาช่วย (Auxiliary Verb) รูปแบบและการผันรูป (Forms and Conjugation) กริยา to be จะเปลี่ยนรูปไปตามประธาน (Subject) และกาล (Tense) 1. รูปปัจจุบันกาล (Present Simple Tense) ประธาน (Subject) รูปกริยา to be ตัวอย่าง (Example) I (ฉัน) am I am a student. (ฉันเป็นนักเรียน) You (คุณ, พวกคุณ) are You are tall. (คุณสูง) We (พวกเรา) are We are friends. (พวกเราเป็นเพื่อนกัน) They (พวกเขา/มัน) are They are happy. (พวกเขามีความสุข) He (เขาผู้ชาย) is He is a doctor. (เขาเป็นหมอ) She (เธอผู้หญิง) is She is at home. (เธออยู่ที่บ้าน) It (มัน) is It is a cat. (มันคือแมว) 2. รูปอดีตกาล (Past Simple Tense) ประธาน (Subject) รูปกริยา to be ตัวอย่าง (Example) I, He, She, It (เอกพจน์) was I was sick yesterday. (เมื่อวานฉันป่วย) You, We, They (พหูพจน์) were They were here. (พวกเขาเคยอยู่ที่นี่) 3. รูปช่อง 3 (Past Participle - V3) been (ใช้กับ Perfect Tenses เช่น Present Perfect) Example: I have been to London. (ฉันเคยไปลอนดอน) 4. รูป -ing (Present Participle) being (ใช้กับ Continuous Tenses หรือในบางโครงสร้าง) Example: He is being quiet. (เขากำลังเงียบอยู่) บทบาทหน้าที่หลัก (Main Functions) 1. กริยาหลัก (Main Verb) - แปลว่า "เป็น, อยู่, คือ" ใช้เชื่อมประธานกับคำที่มาขยายหรือให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับประธาน (เรียกว่า Complement) ระบุตัวตน/สัญชาติ/อาชีพ (Identity/Occupation): Example: I am Thai. (ฉันเป็นคนไทย) บอกลักษณะ/อารมณ์/คุณสมบัติ (Description/State): Example: The weather is cold. (อากาศคือเย็น) Example: She is sad. (เธอรู้สึกเศร้า) บอกสถานที่ (Location): Example: My phone is on the table. (โทรศัพท์ของฉันอยู่บนโต๊ะ) 2. กริยาช่วย (Auxiliary Verb) ใช้ในการสร้างโครงสร้างกาล (Tenses) และประโยคบางประเภท กาลต่อเนื่อง (Continuous Tenses): ใช้ร่วมกับกริยาเติม -ing เพื่อบอกการกระทำที่กำลังดำเนินอยู่ Example: They are eating dinner. (พวกเขากำลังกินอาหารเย็น) Example: He was sleeping when I called. (เขากำลังนอนอยู่ตอนที่ฉันโทรไป) ประโยคกรรมวาจก (Passive Voice): ใช้ร่วมกับกริยาช่อง 3 (V3) Example: The book was written by him. (หนังสือเล่มนั้นถูกเขียนโดยเขา) การทำประโยคปฏิเสธและคำถาม 1. ประโยคปฏิเสธ (Negative Sentences) เพียงแค่เติม not หลังกริยา to be ประโยคบอกเล่า ประโยคปฏิเสธ รูปย่อ (Contraction) I am happy. I am not happy. I'm not happy. He is tall. He is not tall. He isn't tall. They are here. They are not here. They aren't here. She was late. She was not late. She wasn't late. 2. ประโยคคำถาม (Questions) เพียงแค่ย้ายกริยา to be มาไว้หน้าประธาน ประโยคบอกเล่า ประโยคคำถาม (Yes/No Question) You are busy. Are you busy? She is a teacher. Is she a teacher? They were outside. Were they outside?
